General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu, has said Nana Akuffo Addo is leading the race in the elections.

Speaking at an emergency press conference on the current situation of the party on the election log, Mr. John Boadu declared positively that Nana Akuffo Addo has secured a clear incontestable margin ahead of John Mahama.

According to him the results from the Party’s situation room in Accra puts Akuffo Addo in the lead with 6,085,708 representing 52.72% of the votes cast. “This is the highest number of votes to be secured by any presidential candidate in the 4th republic with John Maham in second place,” he said.

He charged all NPP fans nationwide to stay focused, exercise patience and and wait for the EC to declare the final results.

“President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo and the NPP, with our projections, collations, we are on course for a second term in office and a majority in parliament,” he added.
