The question of who implemented Free SHS between Akufo-Addo and John Mahama has raised controversial debate in Ghana’s political arena recently.
Former President John Dramani Mahama is claiming his National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration introduces the flagship educational policy, Free SHS in 2015.

On the other hand, President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are also claiming they implemented the Free SHS policy in 2017 when they came into power.
This has brought about so much confusion and debate among Ghanaians.
Netizens have a slogan that says “The Internet Never Forgets”, and true to the words, they have fished out evidence suggesting that Akufo-Addo applauded John Mahama in 2014 for introducing Free SHS.
The people says they wonder why President Akufo-Addo is denying he congratulated Mahama on Free SHS today.
