Vice President His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP), has fought corruption to the core, applauding the President.
The Vice in an interview with Accra based radio Asempa Fm’s afternoon political show Ekosi Sen on Wednesday 30 September smooth-spoken that, through the adoption of digitization in various sectors of government institutions has helped to reduce Ghana’a corruption index drastically.
In his further explanations in defending his argument, he said he made mention of the use of medical drones for delivery service, the e-procurement system, the paperless ports system at the ports, the digital address system, mobile money interoperability system has enhanced financial inclusion of the bankes and their customers to have a smooth, easy and convenient operations.

“The introduction of a digital license and vehicle registration, online application of passport, paperless port system, online renewal of the National Health Insurance membership have actually curbed the frustrations, the petty bribery and corruption that Ghanaians face in their daily lives when they encounter these institutions.” He stated.
Speaking on the processes and fast track prosecution of criminals, corrupt government officials, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumai said the NPP government will never hesitate to prosecute government officials who may be found guilty by a legal court against corruption. Adding that, there are a total of 42 former officials presently facing prosecuton at the court.
