Former Foreign Affairs Minster Honorable Hannah Tetteh and sisters who were government appointees in former President John Dramani Mahama’s administration has debunked claims by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), that they constituted Mahama’s nepotism in government.

According to the sisters, each of them got the opportunity to serve in Mahama’s government through their own individual doors and qualification and not through President John Mahama as it is happening in the current President Akufo-Addo led NPP government.

“Secondly, even though all three of us served in JMs govt, we entered through different means. Hanna was appointed directly by JM, I was called by H.E Amissah Arthur and Gizella by the then transport minister. Unlike the current situation where one man alone appointed soooooooooooò many.”

She argued that, former President John Dramani Mahama never climbed a campaign platform and promised not to run a family and friends government like what President Akufo-Addo did.

However, the table has turned to show that, the NPP who emphatically promised not to run a nepotism government is the one actively and shamefully practicing nepotism.

“My father didn’t mount a campaign platform to say he won’t appoint his family and friends when he is voted into office so people should vote for him.”

The NPP has been using the family of former Foreign Affairs Minister Hannah Tetteh to combat NDC on nepotism grounds, in their campaign.
