National Communication Officer of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has given a first hand alert that, NDC will jail Honorable Mavis Hawa Koomson, the Minister for Special Development Initiatives when elected into pwer in the coming December 7 elections.
Sammy Gyamfi has pronounced the statement when speaking at a mini-rally in Awutu Senya.
According to him, the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya Constituency Honorable Hawa Koomson registered her name as a jail candidate the moment she pulled a gun and shot warning shots in her constituency during the Voters’ Registration exercise, organized by the Electoral Commission (EC).
The EC compiled a newly Voter’s Register for this year’s December 7 general elections.

Sammy Gyamfi when speaking at the mini-rally said;
“Hawa Koomson, the gun she fired, the thugs she brought into this constituency to cause mayhem, we (NDC) will definitely arraign her before court to be prosecuted when we come to power. Hawa Koomson will surely go to jail. This is a woman who has supervised the poor construction of dams with State resources. This is a woman who does not speak the truth, she requested for a whopping GHC800,000 to build a website. Why are you disgracing the good people of Awutu Senya East constituency to this extent? She’s a minister who has failed to offer jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in this constituency.”
The NDC’s communications officer therefore urged the people of Awutu Senya to vote the Umbrella party back into power
