Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, Assin Central New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) has disclosed that the Elephant Party would have lost disgracefully in the Akwatia Constituency had their very own Ama Sey gone to stand as Independent to contest their elected Parliamentary Candidate.
Hon. Kennedy Agaypoong affirmatively said Ama Sey would have brought a big lost of humiliation to the NPP has given in to the intense pressure NPP and encouragement of some Ghanaians who urged him to as stand independent candidate against the elected NPP Parliamentary Candidate in the constituency.

According to Kennedy Agyapong, the only thing that saved NPP from such humiliation was Ama Sey rescinding peoples’ suggestions for her to go indenpendt.

He has therefore advised NPP prominent members, with he Parliamentary candidate to go and seek forgiveness from Ama Sey from what has happened if they want to gather massive grassroot support from the area.
“Since I came, I have observed something. What I’ve observed is that the people say Ama Sey is like a mother figure who you can be approached easily. I want you to learn that. I’ll advise that you and the Executives should go and beg Ama Sey and ask her how she was able to win the love of the people at the grassroots so that you can follow suit.” Honorable Kennedy Agyapong said.
