Ghana Election 2020: Rawlings Death: Campaign Team Member of Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kobby Mensah has insisted that the party’s Founder Jerry John Rawlings, who recently passed on had a strong fa ther-son relationship with Mahama.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ Morning Show, Kobby mensah noted that John Mahama remained Rawlings’ beloved son till he died.
He said “The communication between former President Mahama and the late President Rawlings was solid. John Mahama and Rawlings had a solid relationship and John Mahama was his most beloved son in the party who followed every advice of Rawlings. So, whoever says that we never had a good relationship with Rawlings is not true.”

His comment was meant to refute rumors of the deceased Founder of the NDC and current leader of the party had a rocky relationship; that they were rivals.
Mr Kobby Mensah said Mahama had a very cordial, father-son relationship with his boss, Jerry John Rawlings and they were never rivals.
