The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)has stated that chairperson of the electoral commision Jean Mensa ignored John Mahama’s petition and declared the presidential results.
Addresing the media after the EC’s announcement ,the minority leader Haruna Iddrisu said ,”Jean Mensa ignored John Mahama’s petition and declared the presidential results”.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)has opposed the election results and are currently challenging the credibility of results announced by the electoral commision.
