The 2018 Ghana Movie Awards went down live yesterday December 30, 2018, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
Among the many winners were John Dumelo and the cast for popular comic television programme Kejetia Vs Makola who picked up five (5) awards in all.
The television programme was adjudged the Outstanding TV Comedy Series with its characters Richmond Xavier Amoako (Lawyer Ntim) and Joann Sackey (A. A Johnson) winning Lead Actor and Lead Actress in a Comedy Series respectively.
Lawyer Nti was adjudged the Discovery of the year.
Nana Gyasi Owusu (Barrister Ignatius) was crowned the Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
For the benefit of our readers, Kejetia Vs Makola is a Ghanaian comic tv series which introduces us to a comedic role of a court system.
In this comedy series, two categories of lawyers are portrayed.
A group of well-educated lawyers from Makola and individuals who call themselves lawyers from Kejetia representing their clients respectively.
