The Ghana Police Service has debunked the situation at Awutu Senya West where there were reports that someone has snatched a ballot box.
These reports also claimed that the ballot box snatcher has been shot and killed, however, the police is saying a different thing.
Taking to their Twitter handle, the service wrote;
“Alleged Shooting of Ballot Box Snatcher at Awutu.
Based on an alarm that a young man had attempted to snatch a ballot at Obrakyere in the Awutu Senya West Constituency, some youth of the town subjected the young man to mob attack.
Police reinforcement team has since sent the injured young man, found in a pool of blood to the Swedru Government Hospital for treatment. Investigation still ongoing.
