UK-based Ghanaian blogger, Chris Vincent Agyapong has opined that the reunion of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, albeit it’s a good news to advance the music industry forward, is definitely a bad news for Ghanaian bloggers.
The maverick journalist who doubles as a lawyer suggested that Ghanaian bloggers have been pitching the two against each other for ages now which somewhat deepens their rivalry so now that they are together, their main source of survival in terms of traffic is gone with the wind hence they will do everything possible to inflame it.
He revealed this after he had a conversation with his good friend, Nana Aba Anamoah, the brain behind the historic reunion.
The two superstars, with countless local and international awards won between them, have literally at war with each in a grand scheme for supremacy.
Their beef escalated at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when Stonebwoy pulled a gun to ward off Shatta Wale and his entourage who besieged the stage right after he was declared the winner of the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year on live TV, causing fear and panic with many people fleeing for their lives.
Their infamous fracas subsequently attracted a hefty ban from the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music awards which is being interpreted by Ghanaians as too harsh.
