Ghana’s finest female bodybuilder, Mary Nyarko Omale has told the story of the struggles she faces in her daily life as a certified trainer and bodybuilding.

Mary’s interest in bodybuilding started 3 years ago when she was first introduced to the gym by a friend. According to her, the gym is her place of solitude, it is her go-to area where she freely expresses herself and channels all negative energy into empowering herself to perfect the art.

The art of bodybuilding has earned her some accolades and awards which makes her feel proud of herself. However, the public find it weird for a female like her to be involved in a sport which they believe is designed for men only. As a result, she is constantly abused both physically and emotionally.

As a winner, she has learnt to ignore her critics and focus more on the task ahead, which is to gain a pro-card and also compete on the international level.
