Ghanian award-winning female dancehall artist Dorcas Opoku Dakwa well known as Abrewa Nana has diagnosed the problem of the music industry.

The ace artist has highlighted the reason why Ghanaian music is unable to move far and move out of the Ghanaian borders. She described the songs currently being produced as “one way”.

Abrewa Nana made this revelation during an interview on the Kastle Entertainment show with Amansan Krakye. The music executive Abrewa Nana said that Ghanaian songs are not being recognized internationally because of the lack of invention and creativity.

“Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why our music in Ghana doesn’t go ver far. Because we’re not inventive in our music-making”, she said.

“They think about what they can create out of the music in a month, two months, three months. Perhaps that’s the impression people have about the music business but that is not how things operate in our sector”, she added.

“So if everything happens in this manner, all of our ideas become one-sided, maybe that is why we are unable to make significant progress with our music “, she said.
