According to the Lynx Entertainment signed artiste, many Ghanaians are obsessed with the two prestigious award schemes, hence they feel incomplete until Ghanaian musicians are also recognized on such platforms.

Speaking in a Twitter Space interview on the “Deep Throat Convo” with @OleleSalvador, Kidi revealed that Ghanaian musicians would definitely love the idea of being recognized on such platforms but it takes time.

He lamented about the obsession of Ghanaians with the two award schemes that they feel most musicians have not accomplished enough without winning from these award schemes.

“A lot of us are too Grammy-obsessed and too BET-obsessed. As an artiste I would love to get there one day but I feel like the obsession with the Grammy and BET is too much”, he said.

He also averred that the musicians who have so far won awards from these awards schemes have worked hard to achieve such greatness, hence it is just a matter of time before Ghanaians also achieve such heights in their careers.
