Nana Lion of Pluzz FM has averred several Ghanaians have downplayed the efforts of the controversial dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., well known as Shatta Wale.

According to him, Shatta Wale was the first Ghanaian artiste to make people see multitude of Ghanaians running after a single man just because of the love they have for his music.

In an interview, Nana Lion intimated that Ghanaians have foregrounded the credibility and efforts of Ghanaian musicians who have contributed enormously to the growth of the Ghanaian music industry.

Nana Lion while registering his sentiments on the Class Showbiz segment stated that most Ghanaian musicians do not have PR systems or initiatives to back their music career.

He lamented that most Ghanaian musicians are mostly into doing all by themselves without seeking to the assistance of professionals who can aid them elevate their music careers to higher heights.

In other news, renowned Ghanaian media personality, Andy Dosty has stated that musicians in Ghana have not made judicious usage of the media prowess and has disregarded the effectiveness of the on-air business in the music industry.

According to the Hitz FM presenter, most Ghanaian musicians for one reason or the other have failed to make good use of the radio system in the country to project their music crafts to the rest of the world.

Speaking on his Daybreak Hitz morning segment on Hitz FM, Andy Dosty also stated that appearing on radio as a musician does not guarantees one’s success in the music game. He added that prominence in the music game requires more than just appearing on radio for interviews.

I feel musicians in this country are not using radio properly. The fact that you’ve come on radio, doesn’t mean that you have blown. There is a lot of work to be done afterward, he said.
