Ghana’s Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Papa Owusu Ankomah was shocked after Dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, well known as Stonebwoy revealed that he has only received GHS2000 from GHAMRO as royalty.

Stonebwoy who is now in London, made a courtesy call to Ghana’s High Commissioner, with whom he discussed Ghanaian music and other topics.
During the debate, the Bhim Nation President said that he had paid a pittance in royalties to Ghana since the beginning of his career.
Stonebwoy said;
“I am saying it here on camera, this is Stonebwoy, I am telling the truth, the amount I have ever gotten from making music as royalty from Ghana is two-thousand Ghana cedis.”
Papa Owusu Ankomah who was shocked by the revelati on made by Stonebwoy said that his songs are being played almost everyday on air yet how come he is being paid that amount as royalty.
“But what about all these your songs that are being played almost every minute?”, he said.
Stonebwoy also revealed that he has constantly discussed the issue with GHAMRO with his lawyers but all his efforts to make sure the right thing is being done proved futile.

In other news, a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology(KNUST) has been suspended indefinitely from the institution for extorting money from students with the promise of securing them accommodation.
Patrick Dwamene Sekyere was said to have promised some students to secure them accommodation at the GUSSS and SRC Hostels but his luck eluded when he was busted by the school authorities.
