One of the leading gospel musicians in the country, Gifty Osei who got married to politician Hopeson Adorye, is set to drop a new album named after her hubby.
The pair got married in a lavish traditional wedding during the yuletide in an unnamed location in Accra which we guess was strictly by invitation considering the air of ‘secrecy’ which surrounded it.
Although we had expected her to drop her maiden name ‘Osei’ for her husband’s name, Gifty’s manager, Stephen Kenneth Nakujah hinted that multiple award winning artiste will still use her original name in the meantime.
He also revealed his artiste would be undergoing a new form branding to reflect her new status and direction. Stephen made this known to actress and host of TV3’s rebranded Music Music, Benedicta Gafah.
Here’s what he told her;
Gifty will be going through rebranding, plans are being put in place currently to make that happen. Everything about her is going to change, her craft as an artiste and all.
In fact, she will be dropping her next album soon and it is called Adorye. We all know the name of her new husband is Hopeson Adorye so just do your calculations and I am sure you will get the drift.
He also added;
You hardly get her breaking down because of controversies, no, it is like she knows when it is coming and exactly what is coming and she brushes it off and moves on with her life like nothing happened.
Gifty Osei made her entry into the music industry with her award-winning Aseda album in 2009. She has gone to churn on several hit songs such as Yento Nkyia, Ye Hia Wo, Kamafo, Ayeyi, Medaa Na Mada, Jesus Be Too Much and Exaltation.
