Multi-award winning Raggae artist Ras Kuuku has threatened the Achimota school administration with curses for refusing the admission of two students with dreadlocks to the school.

The two students who were in dreadlocks were told to get their hair cut before they were allowed the opportunity to study at school.

As Achimota School Alumni and PTA endorse their principal in issuing that directive, the Ghana Education Service (GES), which initially endorsed the students, has withdrawn their support.

Speaking on the issue on Accra based Angel FM, Ras Kuuku said that he is surprised that the Achimota school authorities do such a thing.

He argued that dreadlocks were not alien to African tradition and therefore it would be prudent for the Achimota school leadership to grant admission to students.

For him, this is “the highest form of discrimination in Ghana now” that will draw God’s wrath on the Achimota school.
