The father of the late Ghanaian dancehall, Ebony, Starboy Kwarteng has revealed that he wanted his daughter to become a lawyer instead of a musician.

The music executive made this known during a recent interview he had with Andy Dosty on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM.

In the interview, he said;

“I think one thing about life is being able to let go but the question is, how long will it take? Ebony never lacked. She had all she wanted. What you heard about her, regarding her lacking was not true.

I have two daughters. Ohemaa (Ebony) is gone so I have one now. Ebony was the last born so she got a lot of pampering.

I wanted Ebony to become a lawyer. I encouraged my daughter, Ebony to dress the way she did. When Ebony revealed to me that she wanted to do music, I drove her out of my room, because I wanted her to become a lawyer. She came back 15 minutes later, with the same demand, and I gave her my blessing.”
