Award-winning Ghanaian songstress, Jackline Acheampong who is known in showbiz as Gyakie has revealed the date for the release of her next song.
The talented musician made this known in a recent post she made on her verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.
According to her, her fans and other music lovers should anticipate a banger on July 1. The post that she made reads;
“NEW MUSIC NEXT WEEK FRIDAY!”
In other news, Gyakie has shared her thoughts on comments that TikTok is killing a lot of Ghanaian songs.
There are some Ghanaians including top music executives who feel that TikTok has caused more harm than good to Ghanaian musicians.
However, Gyakie holds a different view and she made this known in a recent submission on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM.
In her submission, she said;
“I think the longevity of a song depends on the song. It’s not really about TikTok. TikTok helped my ‘Forever’ song get to a bigger market.
People still dance Kelvyn Boy’s Down Flat even though it’s been a while since it was released. It came with a dance routine on TikTok too. So like I said, it depends on the song.”
