Nigerian police PRO, Dolapo Badmus, has enlightened the Nigerian community on the idea people have on men and women with tattoos.

According to Naijapals.com, she explained that there is no law which binds dreadlocks or tattoos and for that matter no citizen should allow any police officer manhandle him/her because the hair or ink. She charged the audience to resist any arrest from a security personnel.

Dolapo spoke from the angle of a law enforcement officer making sure people can exercise their right without any fear or intimidation. She made these revelations when she joined the panelists of the social media week seminar to address the topic – “Social Media Wars- Dreads, Tattoos, and Passwords’.

She said

”Having a tattoo on your body or dreadlocks on your head does not automatically make you a criminal “

She advised people who find themselves in a situation where an officer wants to charge you for having dreads or tattoos to arrest, threat, or terrorise them to remain calm and insist on not being a criminal for having a tattoo or dread locks respectfully.
