Legendary Highlife Legend, Alfred Benjamin Crentsil, also known in showbiz scenes as A.B Crentsil has urged Ghanaian musicians to maintain the highlife genre to project Ghana to the world.

Speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on the United Showbiz aired on United TV, the “Sokoo” hitmaker revealed that the Highlife genre has been the original genre representing Ghana on the world market.

This comes after Shatta Wale during his State of the Industry address revealed that Ghana must have a genre that can be attributed to all music works in the country. According to Shatta, during his meetings with some foreign investors in the USA, he was asked the kind of music Ghanaians are known for and since most artists have adopted genres from other countries, he was unable to point out the genre which is common in the country.

A.B Crentsil who is one of the key players in Highlife music has asked Ghanaians and musicians to cherish and uphold the genre because that’s what will sell Ghana to the world.

In other news, Kumawood Ghanaian actress turned musician, Yaa Jackson has finally reacted to claims made by her junior brother, Jackson K. Nyame that the former is being controlled by the devil but she wishes to repent.

It would be vividly recalled that Jackson, popularly known as Chef revealed that he believes his sister is being manipulated by the devil and has become a vessel for his works but she wishes to repent.

He disclosed that his sister’s repentance comes after she had a scary dream about the second coming of Christ and how her life would be if she refuses to turn back to God for salvation.
