Staut member of the New Patriotic party Hopeson Adorye has revealed the reason why the National Security chose his wife, Empress Gifty as Ambassador for the terrorism awareness campaign.
Empress Gifty was chosen as the ambassador for the terrorism awareness campaign a few days ago by the National Security over a series of reports of alleged terrorists in the neighboring countries causing havoc.

One of the people who criticized the National Security for making the gospel artist the ambassador of the terrorist campaign is Ghanaian entertainment pundit, Mr. Logic.
During a discussion on Hitz FM, he said, “It is only criminals who know criminals. You can’t appoint decent people to go and talk about crimes. Appoint rehabilitated criminals as anti-terrorism ambassadors.
However, the husband of gospel artist Empress Gifty, Hopeson Adorye has come out to throw his weight behind his wife. In an interview on Accra-based UTV, said that people who applied for the positions are citizens and not spectators and hence do not get any compensation for the role they take up.

“The people who have put themselves up for this role are not taking monies for it. On the day the program was launched, my wife’s name was the 19th name mentioned. There are personalities like Kwame Sefa Kayi, Kwasi Pratt, Kwaku Baako, NanaAma Mcbrown, Nana Aba Anamoah, and Omanhene Kwabena Asante.
They are over twenty and their role is that we looked out for people who are in the media and can reach out to a lot of people. Even people who are on social media and have a lot of followers can reach out to people.
It’s not only Gifty, they are more than five people. I think they are over thirty but few of them have been active and are working. Kofi Kinaata has produced a song for the program. We made them understand that it’s voluntary work and we told them to use their following to inform people,” he said.
