Anne Sophie Avé, the French Ambassador to Ghana has complained about how she is being pestered on social media for visas.

A lot of people travel outside the country to other countries for different reasons. While some travel to the Western countries to seek greener pastures, others also travel to have fun, relax or go on a vacation with loved ones.

Speaking on the program, Top Assignmentaired on Joy Prime, Anne Ave stated that she has been a victim of constant pestering on social media, especially by Twitter users asking her to help them get visas.

Anne Sophie emphasized that the role of the French Ambassador is completely different from the work of the embassy. “There’s no point calling me: there’s no point harassing me on social media. I cannot do a visa. The decision is made by French Immigration”.

“Thanks to the interconnection and the internet, everything is now remotely decided and all we do when we get the agreement is to print the visa and stick it on your passport. We don’t make and we don’t overturn decisions made by the immigration service”, she stated.
