Ace Ghanaian musician, Emmanuel Ababio, popularly known as Promzy of the defunct VIP musical group has announced his comeback to music.

Promzy used to be a member of one of the hottest groups in the music scene. The group was made of three of the most talented artists in the scene, namely, Abdul Hamid Ibrahim formerly known as Lazzy, now Zeal, Joseph Nana Ofori, known as Prodigal and Promzy.

Together, the group were able to drop some of the favorite hits ever to hit the streets. With songs like ‘Daben Na Odo Beba’, ‘Ahomka Wom’, ‘Yedi Aba and other hits, the group were undoutedly on top of their game and one of the best in Ghana as far as music is concerned.

VIP won five awards at the Ghana Music Awards from the hit single and the group gained international exposure after this success. Since then, the group has been touring worldwide. They are now among the most famous artists in Ghana.

Promzy then later left the group to work as a solo artist but according to him he says he did not break out of the group.

Following the exit of Promzy, Reggie Rockstone, known as the godfather of Ghanaian rap who back in the mid 1990s christened the new genre Hiplife, joined the group. The new group’s name metamorphosed to VVIP and they have since produced smash singles like “Selfie”, “Skolom” and “Dogoyaro”.

Well, Promzy has recently taken to his Facebook page to announce his official comeback to the music scene with a controversial statement, implying that he is back for business.

In his post, he wrote;
