Ghanaian artist Kwesi Arthur has reacted to the government’s decision to put up a National Cathedral.

Recall that the government of Ghana recently apportioned a gargantuan amount as additional seed money to the National Cathedral Secretariat.

It raised the concerns of many netizens who condemned the decision saying there are many problems the country is facing which should be tackled instead of a place of worship.

Well, many people continue to kick against the decision of building a cathedral and it seems famous Ghanaian artist Kwesi Arthur has joined the long list.

Reacting to a post shared by JoyNews where the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta talked about the amount spent to build what he calls a righteous state, Kwesi Arthur intimated that he doesn’t support the building of the cathedral.

He wrote;

As a Ghanaian, I don’t want a cathedral.

Reacting,

You have the attention and can talk for us
We don’t want any cathedral they should put that money in the fuel issues to reduce prices of the things on Gh

The Volta girl had this to say: This isn’t something to even argue about, the cathedral isn’t our top priority as a Country. Who will go to church there by the way . Rather shouldn’t they build Shelter for homeless people with a cheap fee of 5 cedis per night that can accommodate them and with some warm food?
