President of Ghana H. E Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed disappointment in a parliamentary candidate who is contesting as an independent candidate.

Mr. Andrews Amoako Asiamah has applied to contest as an independent candidate for Fomena Constituency in the Ashanti region after losing the NPP primaries.
According to Nana Akufo-Addo, he personally spoke to the aspiring independent candidate to drop his candidature because its not going to help both of them.

But to his surprise, the candidate went ahead to still fill for nomination as an independent candidate
To this, he feels disrespected as Mr Andrews Amoako disregarded all the conversations they had when he spoke to him one-on-one
