Ghanaian music legend, Reggie Rockstone has publicly revealed he gets so much more respect from Nigerians than Ghanaians.

He made this known during submission on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM, and in his submission, he said;

“The only people who disrespected me were my people – Ghanaians – and the media went along with it.

I was popping off in 1993. But according to the Afro Beats Documentary, I started in 1999 – which is false.

I am happy to be alive to witness all of this happen. I am glad there is a documentary and I am glad we were mentioned – even though they got some of the information wrongs. But it opens the door for us to tell our own stories.

I get so much respect from the Nigerians. I have no issues with the producers of the Afro Beats documentary. I did not feel disrespected.”

In an earlier submission, he boldly came out to state that he has trained his children to accept and love lesbians, Gays bisexuals Transgenders, and queer individuals.

“When you talk about LGQBTI, I just know that my children have no hate in them, I don’t raise my children to hate. Whatever you are I might treat you with respect just like I expect you to treat me with respect.”

“That’s how I was raised and that’s how I’m raising my kids, there’s no hate, there’s no prejudice, we are God’s creation and so I don’t have that power to be judgmental,” he said.
