Popular Kumawood actress Mama Jane has lamented over her poor living condition after being in the movie industry for forty-nine years.
According to the veteran actress, she is not finally stable to cater for herself and sometimes starve the whole day because she can’t afford to feed herself.

Mama Jane told the host on Kingdom 101.9 FM that she gained nothing as an actress after being in the movie industry for forty-nine years. She mentioned that a lot of people have the perception that most actresses are rich due to their choice of work.
“That’s the reality of my life after acting for 49 years. People feel that I’m a star so I’m always rich. As I’m talking to you, I’m broke.

She added that movie producers have stopped calling her for movie roles and if they do, she will at least have a little amount of money to sustain on. “Producers and directors don’t call me anymore. If they do, I would have gotten something small in my pocket. Unfortunately, they have neglected me”, she added.
“Does that mean you quit acting?”, the host questioned her. In response, Mama Jane stated that she cannot stop acting because it has become part of her. “I can’t stop acting. I’ve been doing this since Osofo Dadzie era. That’s almost 50 years now. Until I die, I’ll continue to act. I’ve even informed one producer to make a movie with my dead body before they bury me. That’s when I die”, Mama Jane emotionally responded.
