Award-winning actress, Jackie Appiah has disclosed that she has sold her privacy to the public and has no control over it.

Being a celebrity or a public figure cost a lot and comes with a lost consequence that comes with it. This is because every activity of the public figure is laid in the public domain.

According to the Canadian-born Ghanaian actress, because of the activists or the things she does are mostly in the public eye or even brought out by either bloggers or some close friends before she realizes, she has come to a realization that her privacy has been sold out to the public.

Jackie Appiah in a discussion on GTV’s Breakfast show on April 28th spoke about how she deals with being a celebrity and how she protects her privacy.

She stated, “It is not an easy task, very very difficult. I have sold my privacy and so I cannot do what an ordinary person will do. For instance yesterday, I was driving and someone crossed me, I wanted to insult the person, like what kind of driving is that but I cannot do that. You always have to be on guard and I say away from trouble, always keep to myself and mind my own business”.

Jackie Appiah is a Canadian-born Ghanaian actress. For her work as an actress, she has received several awards and nominations, including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards; and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
