For any investor or a business minded person, being able to break even and make reasonable profits is a fundamental reason for venturing into such a venture.

Popular Ghanaian actor, Fiifi Coleman has revealed in a recent interview that he spent about $30,000 on a single movie about 4 years ago.

He made that revelation when he was speaking to Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty about his comic stage play titled ‘You play me, I play you’.

When the host asked that why doesn’t he put out movies, he replied saying “…, I tried the first one, a short one, it wasn’t that great, I will admit because I was very young in it”.

He continued saying that, he also did a second movie and still didn’t see any breakthrough. He revealed that he didn’t know anything about how to hype a movie and run promotions at that time.

He claims that he was in the United States during that period, so he came to Ghana and ‘pumped’ that amount of money in the movie thinking he would make marginal returns but it was still a failure.

He admits that although he has the required skill to put out a good movie and that experience was like a ‘pause’ to his career and he told himself he will wait and get the needed amount before he brings out another movie.

Oh Bro Fiifi, sorry because $30,000 now isn’t a small amount and we can’t imagine its value 4 years ago.
