Celebrated Hiplife/Hip-hop artiste, Guru NKZ, has disclosed that losing a baby mama, an Australian-based lady whom he has a daughter with, is one of the reasons for his abrupt break from active music career activities after COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking on the mid-morning show, M’ADWUMA, on Oman 107.1 Fm with Kweku Bempong Burundy, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, the former Australian-based record label signee narrated how the demise of his daughter’s mother and his current university education journey has affected his career activities and played a role in his recent inactivity.

“It is my will to do music but my parents want me to attend school to a certain level. Currently, I’m at the University of Ghana, Legon, Level 300. The woman whom I have a child with also died so I had to go to Australia for her burial and also take care of our daughter so it wasn’t appropriate to release any song during that time, but now is the time for my come back”, he said.

Guru is out with two single releases: “ƐYƐ WANWA” and “YOU CAN’T TOUCH THIS” in which the first song is already enjoying massive airplay and streaming on the traditional media and all digital platforms respectively.

Guru NKZ was shot to fame when he was featured on Obrafour’s “KASIEBO” – a song which allegedly was a diss to Okyeame Kwame, where discovery artiste then played the role of a news anchor interviewing Obrafour in the song.

Being hungry for success, he refused to sleep on his talent, he worked harder and followed it up with hit songs including Lapaz Toyota, Boys abrɛ, Akonta Fried Rice, Pooley, Mpaebɔ, Bɔnsam Ani and Meba Be Tia Wo.
