According to the one-time Artiste of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, he mostly shuts his eyes while performing because he wants to focus on the ministration and what God is doing rather than be distracted.

Speaking in an interview with the ace broadcaster, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana on Okay FM’s Ekwansodwodwo segment, Joe Mettle intimated that he wouldn’t want to lose concentration on his ministration regardless of what happens.

“There are times I think I want 100% concentration on what God is doing so sometimes I close my eyes just so nothing happens so irrespective of what happens, I’m still flowing”, he said.

However, he mentioned that it is not mandatory for every gospel musician to close his or her eyes while performing, hence if anyone can deliver a performance without shutting their eyes, they might as well go ahead and do that.

Speaking in an interview with the blogger, Sammy Kay, Lasmid stated that he would believe the numerous assertions made by many that some Ghanaian musicians are beginning to sound like Nigerian musicians.

He stated that the triumph of Nigerians in the African music scene has earned them a place in the world and has also shot them to prominence in the African music industry.

Lasmid stated that it is not surprising that some Ghanaians have also ventured into the Nigerian style of music because Nigerians have taken over the music game in Africa.
