According to him, he had no idea that brandishing a gun or any other weapon on social media was a crime against the laws of the land until he was arrested for engaging in such.

It would be vividly recalled that Medikal was arrested by the police after he was caught brandishing a gun in a viral video on social media. He was remanded into police custody for five days upon his first appearance in court. He was later given a GHc100,000 bail with one surety.

Speaking on the lessons he has learnt from his issues with the law, Medikal

in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz stated that he never knew brandishing a gun on social media was a crime until he got arrested.

According to him, he only had the notion that pulling a gun in public was what could get one in trouble with the law and not displaying it on social media. He stated that he agrees with the public’s assertions that he was treated harshly by the law, adding that he was puzzled about the entire incident.

Medikal further advised his fans and Ghanaians to be extra careful in their dealings because one may not know what might get him or she caught up with the law.
