In other news, legendary Ghanaian Highlife singer, Rex Omar has also added his voice to the ongoing brouhaha surrounding President Nana Akufo Addo’s intentions to build a National Cathedral for the country.

The Akufo Addo-led government’s intentions to have a National Cathedral built in the country did not side very well with most Ghanaians. The majority have already expressed their frustrations about the proposal since there are a lot of problems eating up the country.

In reaction to that, the veteran Highlife maestro has stated that the edifice only aims at glorifying the devil and not God as the government presumes.

Speaking with Joy Entertainment’s Kofi Hayford, at the VGMA Summit 2022, held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, on June 21, Rex Omar stated that he would describe the National Cathedral as a den of Satan given the fact that it is being built on lies.

He added that there are many concerns surrounding the cathedral that makes it unholy, including breaking all procurement laws, and sole sourcing, among others.
