Speaking with Naa Ashorkor on the “Between Hours” show on Asaase Radio, Jupitar stated that most award schemes in Ghana complain about him not submitting his works for review but the moment his works are being submitted, the award scheme snubs him.

Jupitar stated that he advised himself never to bother himself about award schemes in Ghana when his biggest hit “Enemies” featuring the rap king, Sarkodie was not nominated on any award scheme in Ghana.

He lamented that he has been nominated on numerous platforms and awarded in other countries but the same cannot be said about his homeland Ghana.

“It’s quite strange because out there rather when they see me they give me nominations and they reward me and acknowledge me so beautifully and so nice but down here they will say I don’t submit my songs but when I do submit my songs they look away”, he said.

However, Jupitar confessed that he is not cool with most industry players in Ghana because he feels such connections will not enhance his craft and project him to where he wants to be.
