Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper and CEO of Uptown Energy Music, Yaa Pono has expressed his regrets for replying to dancehall artist Shatta Wale with the diss track ‘Gbee Naanbu’.

It would be recalled that dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and rapper Yaa Pono had a massive clash a few years as they had an intense musical banter.

Shatta Wale dropped a diss song for Yaa Pono and hurled insults at him. A few days after he dropped a diss song for Yaa Pono, he also ired back with Gbee Nabu which was one of the popular and controversial diss tracks.

Yaa Pono dragged Michy who was then the girlfriend of Shatta Wale into the beef questioning her if the son they had together “Majesty” was the biological child of the dancehall artist. This statement in the diss song by Yaa Pono brought controversies and caused a lot of people to talk.

After four years of the clash, Yaa Pono has disclosed that he regrets recording a diss song for Shatta Wale. According to him, Shatta Wale acted “foolishly” and regrets following his path to reply to him with a diss track.

“I regret replying to Shatta Wale’s diss song. I wish I didn’t follow a fool”, Yaa Pono told Hammar Nti on Pure FM Kumasi.

“That is why I’m saying I’m also a fool. But I want him to know that I am more foolish than he is, the only difference is that I don’t do live video. I regret doing it but I enjoyed it”, he added.
