Ace Ghanaian actor and movie producer Fiifi Coleman has taken a swipe at the government after revealing the shocking thing he did at the National theatre.

The actor has lambasted the ruling government over their misplaced priorities while other issues in the country that needed to be fixed have been left unattended.

Fiifi Coleman has described the building of the National Cathedral as a misplaced priority citing the Nationa Theatre as an example of the issues the government needed to be fixed. Fiifi Coleman has described the National Theatre as pathetic and unkempt which needs attention more than the Cathedral.

Fiifi Coleman has disclosed that he had to spray a mosquito repellent in the National Theatre before his first-ever play titled “Caution! Women at work” acted by an all-female cast.

“When I did my last play, I bought mosquito repellent myself to spray the entire building before the guests could come in because it was so unbearable; and it’s coming out of my pocket,” he fumed in an interview on Hitz FM.

Fiifi Coleman also disclosed how he had to run over his budget to rent light for his production, as well as a sound system which caused him GHS 7,000. He also detailed how the network in the auditorium was bad hence was not able to use the walkie-talkie to communicate with his crew members.

In his opinion, he thinks the government should channel their funds to fixing the National Theatre before handling any other projects.
