Ghanaian rapper and producer, EL has expressed disappointment for not being considered for Black Entertainment Television (BET) this year.

The BET’s Best International Act for Africa was created to reward African musicians. Since its inception R2bees, Sarkodie, Mzvee and lately Stonewbwoy have all gained nominations.

Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have won it one apiece. EL, born Elorm Adablah thinks he has worked hard over the years and also deserves that recognition.

In interview with Hitz FM said:

I was expecting something like that but I didn’t know what the process was. I thought it was all about talent. I think there is a personal connection with organizers both here in Ghana and outside.

It’s something I have learned. If I had known when I had won the Artiste of the year I need to speak to some contacts, I would have considered. I had not come out of my box then.

As long as I have breath and can do music for my fans I am doing well. It was a little biased. But what I believed is that your talent should be enough. But in this crime music industry it isn’t so. I taught talent should put you on the map as a great artiste. I am never disappointed in the outcomes on these things.”
