Ghanaian songstress, Janet Awindor, affectionately known in the music game as Efya has revealed her intentions to elevate her music career to the next level as she prepares to be the first Ghanaian female musician to win a Grammy and BET awards.

During a Twitter Space convo, the celebrated singer stated that she is preparing herself to embark on a successful journey to grab all the achievements and successes she has not been able to achieve yet in her music career.

She said that anything that has held her back for years and probably prevented her from attaining the success she seeks has taught her lessons and highlighted some reasons why she needs to be better at music. She stated that she is doubling whatever she is doing in order to win a BET and Grammy awards.

“Anything that has slowed me down has either taught me or made me learn the things that I need to be better at this thing that I’m doing. And I’m determined to be the greatest ever, regardless of how much of a legend I am right now. I want to be a super legend. So even at this time, I feel like I’m on my curb. I’m going to go harder than ever”,

she said.

“I’m doubling up to go into the BET, to go into the Grammys… to go into all the other places that I haven’t reached yet.”⁠ she further stated.

As a reminder, Efya happens to be one of the most talented singers Ghana has ever produced. She has served as an inspiration for many young singers in the music industry as well as being recognized on many platforms for her enormous contribution to the music growth in Ghana.
