Reigning Artiste of the year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Diana Hamilton has revealed that she had high hopes in winning the award at the end of the show.

Diana Hamilton was recently crowned as the overall Artiste of the year on Sunday at the VGMA. Diana Hamilton who was nominated in six categories managed to walk home with four awards that night.
Diana Hamilton managed to beat Sarkodie, Medikal, Adina, Kuami Eugene, and Kidi who were also nominated in that category.
However, it was expected that either Diana Hamilton or Kidi will walk away with the award at the end of the day but the “Adom: hitmaker emerged as the winner.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty this morning on the Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Diana Hamilton revealed that she was expecting to win the award at the end of the day because she got nominated.
According to her, she was not added to that category for fun but to win so she deserved it just like any other artiste who was nominated in that category.
As a reminder, the 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was held on Saturday, 26th June 2021 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). The even was raced with wonderful appearances from dignitaries and personalities.
Some musicians also managed to entertain the audience with electrifying performances as some of them managed to win the the categories they were nominated for.
