Gospel musician Sonnie Badu has finally broken his silence over the alleged $50,000 payment for a 15-second performance at the National Cathedral Fundraising campaign held in the US.

It was reported a few days ago that Sonnie Badu was paid $50,000 after he performed in the campaign. in February 2019.

This disclosure comes from Sonnie Badu after a social media user tweeted asking if he indeed took the said amount the organizers claimed they paid him.

The fan tweeted, “I’m sure the handlers of @SonnieBaduuk will alert him to clear the air whether he allegedly took $50,000 for singing 5mins 15 seconds at the launch of Ghana National Cathedral in the USA

Responding to the tweet, Sonnie Badu denied ever receiving such an amount. According to him, he was not given a dime, and also, he was not given any seat during the event. He was kept outside.

“Wow, thanks for alerting me, I was not given a dime .. not even a seat for me and my team, We stood outside..”, he said.
