The mother of Ghanaian rapper Samuel Frimpong also known as Medikal, Madam Portia Lamptey has come out to react to the arrest and release of his son.
In a recent interview on Accra-based station, Okay FM, the mother of Medikal disclosed that she would have died out of sorrow if her son was kept in prison for a longer period. Speaking to the host Akwasi Aboagye on Entertainment Review, Medikal’s mother made this sad revelation.

According to Madam Portia, she was devasted when she heard the news that her son had been arrested for flaunting a gun on social media. She disclosed how she loves her children and would not want anything bad to happen to them.
She disclosed that anytime her son does anything she disagrees with, she calls him to chastise him. She also disclosed when Medikal shared the video of the gun on his Instagram story, she called to lambast him.
“I would have died out of sorrow if my son had stayed longer at Ankaful prison because I love all my children and would not like any of them to go through such difficult moments. My children are my everything”.
