Legendary American rapper, record producer and actor, Leon Ivey Jr, popularly known within the showbiz space as Coolio, has been reported dead.

The sad news was communicated by his longtime manager, Jarez Posey. According to him, the Grammy-winning recording and performing artiste, Coolio passed away at a friend’s house in Los Angeles.

Coolio is best known for his smash hit single ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ which won a Grammy Award for best solo rap performance. The cause of the rapper’s death is yet to be known. Coolio died at the age of 59. May his soul rest in peace.
