Veteran Ghanaian Highlife singer, Ofori Amponsah has disclosed in an interview that if he could reverse time, he will choose never to help any musicians to the top again.
A lot of legendary artists in Ghana at a point in their careers held the hands of many upcoming artists who have now become popular people through the help of these legendaries. However, some have turned out to be ungrateful to their mentors.

In a recent interview on XYZ TV, the renowned singer and songwriter, Ofori Amponsah disclosed that he will choose never to help any musicians again in his career if he was to reverse the time. Ofori Amponsah made this disclosure by sharing his bitter experiences with some people in the music industry.
“It came to a point in my life that some situations I was going through spiritually were massive. I saw that if I didn’t run to God I would die. There are a lot of pressures when it comes to this music industry.” he recounts.
The host then asked if he was spiritually attacked due to something he did or got himself invovled, he said he was being hunted by musicians who he helped in the past. he stated that these musicians were ‘crossing his path” and were trying to quench his fire to write and release more music.

Citing examples to explain his point, he said anytime he was called to sing for a show, he charges GHc20,000 but he ends up getting GHc2000, an indication that his value was being diminished. He stated that he felt it was a spiritual attack from those he helped.
