Ghanaian rapper, Denning Edem Hotor, well known in the music scene as Edem has revealed that it is essential for entertainers and other personalities to openly endorse or announce their affiliations with politics in Ghana.

Speaking in an interview with the lifestyle & celebrity blogger, Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Edem stated that there is absolutely nothing wrong with celebrities coming out to support their political parties during elections.

He explained that when one refuses to affiliate or involve himself in politics, the chances of them being ruled or govern by incompetent leaders are very high.

When asked if he would ever endorse a political party in a coming elections, Edem stated that he would endorse a political party based on the benefits he would gain from his endorsement as well as the benefits his fans and his people will gain from his endorsement.

He mentioned that there are rumors that his colleague, Sarkodie received a huge sum of money to campaign for the NPP during the 2020 elections, hence if it happens to the accurate, then he might probably consider endorsing any politcal party that approaches him with a deal.

In other news, legendary Ghanaian musician, KK Fosu has explained his reluctance in not collaborating with some of the new crops of musicians in Ghana even though he has that in mind to execute any time soon.

Speaking with Abeiku Aggrey Santana on UTV’s “Atuu” show, KK Fosu stated that he has heard a lot of complaints from some ace musicians about the reluctance of some of the new schools of musicians to collaborate with them.

KK Fosu stated that he would love to work with some of the new and young musicians currently dominating the scenes at the moment but due to the complaints from some of his colleagues, he has held back on his intentions.

He said that some of these young talents would end up disrespecting legends like him just because they are reigning in this era and since he wouldn’t want to tarnish his reputation, he would allow any young talent to disrespect him in such a manner.

He prefers to stay in his lane until he finds it appropriate to call on any young talent in the music industry to work with.
