Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has dropped a funny thread on social on why he’s yet to win the Best Rapper award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The veteran rapper, who recently touted his credentials ahead of the 2019 VGMAs when he said he has chalked 22-years in the industry hence deserves the Artiste of the Decade award, explained that the kind of rap he does makes it hard for him to grab the attention of the VGMA board.
He said
Listen to all the songs that are chosen for the Best Rapper category. It is not just rap. It is rap over hip hop beat. Before they select the best rap, they look for hip hop beat and an amazing rap, that’s why Okyeame Kwame hasn’t been able to win the VGMA Best rapper category.”
