Renowned Ghanaian musician, Denning Edem Hotor who is widely known in showbiz as Ayigbe Edem has corrected the notion Ghanaian music lovers have that he is only a rapper.

According to him, he is not only a rapper adding that he sings too and he made this known when he appeared on Hitz FM on Thursday, May 5.

Speaking with Andy Dosty, he said;

“When someone asks me “what happened to your rap music?”, I feel like slapping them in the face but violence is not good. We just released the video for “Woss”.

The question should be: Is the radio playing rap music? What is the biggest rap music in the country right now?

I am not just a rapper. I sing too. Rap never paid.”

The musician is an indigene of Dzogadze which is a small town in Abor, in the Volta Region of Ghana.

During the earlier stages of his career, Edem spent most of his youth in Accra and Aflao. He completed his primary and Junior High education at the Amazing Love International Schools. As a product of the secondary school system in Ghana, he enrolled in Bishop Herman College for his senior high school education.

He lost his mother at age 13. He was left with his dad, a lawyer, and his sister. He lost his dad at age 16. His only immediate family at the moment is his sister. He grew up surrounded by music, ranging from hip hop to dancehall, reggae, and highlife.
