Reigning Ghanaian Highlife/Afropop crooner, Peter Fameyeh Bozah, well known in showbiz scenes as Fameye has stated that he will still emerge as the songwriter of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in the coming years.

Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz segment, Fameye stated that it feels good breaking the four-year record set by the Fante rap god, Kofi Kinaata by winning the songwriter of the year.

He stated that Kofi Kinaata has done a lot for the industry for years and contributed to the grwoth of the Ghanaian music industry through his music but he feels good breaking his record.

Fameye stated that even if he is not able to win again, he will continue to hold on to this achievement. However, he will still win the prestigious award in the coming years despite the threats posed at him by his colleagues.

In other news, renowned Ghanaian movie maker, Socrate Safo has revealed one of the main causes of the downfall of the Ghanaian film industry.

Speaking in an interview with Empress Nana Ama Mcbrown on the United Showbiz aired on United Television, Socrate Safo stated ignorance and stupidity on the part of movie producers caused the downfall of the movie industry.

He said that the new crop of movie producers in the Ghanaian movie industry lacked the training they needed to shape their skills and talents in managing their craft in a professional way.

Socrate said that the likes of him and his era of movie producers were not given the proper training they needed to sharpen their skills as producers unlike their predecessors who were trained to portray their craft in the professional way.

He added that the new era of movie producers lacked guidance, hence were unable to rectify their flaws during their movie productions.
