Gramps Morgan one part of the  Jamaican reggae group; Morgan Heritage, has revealed that the group is planning on organising a concert in Ghana but the inadequacy of better facilities such as high capacity indoor venues, stages, and sound have made them hesitant.

Speak ing with Mr Skinny (The Citi Buzzer) and PM in an interview on Radio Maxx in Takoradi to promote the group’s brand new single; Africa Jamaica, Gramps Morgan when asked if there is a day the group will perform in Ghana, postulated that the group will like to perform in Africa but the infrastructure is a problem.

‘We are working on it. One of the biggest things for us is that, we have always wanted to perform in Africa just like we do in Europe but what has caused that not to happen is that there is not a lot of proper stages all over Africa, proper sound systems, lighting, the proper instruments are not in Africa yet. But there are some countries that are leading the way right now like South Africa. I see South Africa has incredible equipments like in Europe. I see that in Kenya and Senegal they are making that move. But I can tell you that Ghana is also on its way so we will try and put it together when it happens’

Morgan Heritage is currently promoting their newest single ‘Africa Jamaica’ which has cameos from Stonebowy from Ghana and Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania.  The video for Africa Jamaica was shot in Ghana.
